Software Engineer (WordPress Developer)

Experience 3 Years Job Purpose To design, develop, and maintain responsive, high-performance WordPress websites and custom themes/plugins, ensuring alignment with SEO, UI/UX, and performance best practices. The role supports the digital marketing and branding goals by delivering scalable web solutions that enhance user experience and reflect the company’s digital identity. Job Description / Duties And Responsibilities Design, develop, and maintain custom WordPress themes and plugins from scratch. Ensure websites are mobile-responsive, cross-browser compatible, and optimized for speed and performance. Convert Figma, PSD, or XD designs into WordPress or HTML pages. Strong ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams including SEO, content, design, cybersecurity, DevOps, and the broader marketing team in a fast-paced, dynamic environment. Collaborate with designers to transform UI/UX wireframes into functional websites. Troubleshoot and resolve issues related to WordPress core, themes, plugins, and third-party integrations. Conduct website audits to improve security, scalability, and adherence to SEO best practices. Optimize websites for performance using caching, CDNs, and image optimization techniques. Developing both the front-end and back-end of the website. Planning and creating website architecture. Designing and implementing new features and functionality. Managing back-end tasks like database and server integration. Experience with eCommerce systems such as WooCommerce or similar platforms. Testing and troubleshooting the website and analyzing live website performance. Stay updated with industry trends, WordPress updates, and emerging technologies. Job Specification / Skills and Competencies 3+ years of professional WordPress development experience. Expertise in PHP, MySQL, and WordPress architecture. Strong proficiency in front-end technologies: HTML5, CSS3, JavaScript/JQuery. Good understanding of technical SEO fundamentals and site architecture. Experience with responsive frameworks and CSS preprocessors. Familiarity with page builders like Elementor, WPBakery, Divi, etc. Knowledge of Core Web Vitals, CDN integration, and caching strategies is a bonus. Ability to work in a collaborative, fast-paced environment and manage multiple projects. Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
