Job Description

Role Overview – Quality Engineering Lead (5–10 yrs)

Purpose:

To lead the Quality Engineering (QE) efforts across delivery squads by ensuring all products meet business requirements and maintain high software quality standards.

Key Responsibilities:

Guide and unblock QE team members on technical and process issues.
Ensure quality standards, automation, and test coverage across all user stories.
Participate in design, development, and testing lifecycle with a strong SDET mindset.
Lead test planning, review, documentation, and RCA for defects.
Drive automation for UI, API, and backend using frameworks like Selenium, Cucumber, Cypress, Rest Assured, etc.

Must-Have Skills:

5–10 years in automation testing with strong programming skills in Java, Python, or Cypress.
Expertise in Selenium, Cucumber, TestNG, API testing (Rest Assured, Postgres, Kafka, MQ).
Strong experience in CI/CD, cloud tools (AWS, Azure, Jenkins, Docker, Kubernetes).
Experience with scripting (Shell, Perl, Python), performance testing (Scala/JMeter), and microservices testing.

Nice to Have:

Experience with Spring Boot, WireMock, Mockito.
Leadership in managing small QE teams and driving quality strategy.

Education:

Bachelor’s degree in Technology or relevant field.
