The position of a Systems Development Team Lead at UPS involves providing leadership in full systems life cycle management, including analyses, technical requirements, design, coding, testing, and implementation of systems and applications software. The individual in this role is responsible for ensuring delivery is on time and within budget. This role also involves directing component and data architecture design, technology planning, and testing for Applications Development (AD) initiatives to meet business requirements and ensure compliance. The Systems Development Team Lead develops and leads AD project activities and integrations, guiding teams to ensure effective communication and achievement of objectives. Additionally, this position involves researching and supporting the integration of emerging technologies, providing knowledge and support for applications development, integration, and maintenance. The Systems Development Team Lead also leads junior team members with project-related activities and tasks, guides and influences department and project teams, and facilitates collaboration with stakeholders. Key Responsibilities: - Support the maintenance, development, and support of the APCS, collaborating between the Application Team, Interfacing Application, Business Users, and Support Groups. - Develop a deep understanding of the application and the interfacing applications, including support and maintenance of the application infrastructure, support of security patches, participation/leading OS upgrades, and Production Support for End User technical issues. - Development activities may involve updating applications to support new countries and maintaining a secure application to mitigate risks as determined by Netsparker and/or SonarQube. - Involvement in Agile development, including the analysis of requirements, estimating, design, code, test, and deployment to meet business requirements. - Collaborate with the team and support the integration of emerging technologies to ensure effective communication and achievement of objectives.
