About The Role

We are looking for a highly experienced Senior Python Developer with strong Django expertise to join a high-impact, cloud‑native BSS transformation project. You will help build scalable backend systems, lead development sprints, and mentor junior engineers. The role demands hands-on leadership, excellent design skills, and deep domain knowledge in telecom or analogous enterprise systems.

Key Responsibilities

• Architect, design, and develop robust backend services using Python and Django.
• Lead the full software development lifecycle: requirements, design, coding, testing, deployment, and maintenance.
• Develop RESTful APIs and integrate complex modules and external services.
• Ensure code quality with unit/integration testing, CI/CD pipelines, and peer code reviews.
• Mentor and guide junior developers, offering technical leadership and best practices.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams (e.g. QA, DevOps, business analysts, UX) in an agile environment.
• Identify and optimize performance bottlenecks and scalability issues.
• Contribute to technical documentation, architecture decisions, and code standards.
  

Required Skills & Qualifications

• 7+ years of professional experience in backend software development, especially with Python and Django.
• Strong understanding of REST API design principles, ORM modeling, and service-layer architecture.
• Proficient in relational and NoSQL databases (PostgreSQL, MySQL, Redis, Cassandra etc.).
• Hands-on experience with cloud platforms (AWS, GCP, or Azure) and deploying microservices.
• Familiarity with containerization (Docker, Kubernetes) and infrastructure-as-code automation.
• Solid understanding of CI/CD pipelines (e.g. Jenkins, GitHub Actions, GitLab CI).
• Agile mindset and experience working in Scrum or Kanban teams.
• Excellent communication, problem-solving, analytical, and leadership skills.
• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field.
  

Preferred Experience

• Worked in telecommunications/BSS or enterprise software environments.
• Exposure to event-driven architecture, Kafka, messaging systems.
• Experience with configuration automation tools (e.g., Ansible, Terraform).
• Familiarity with frontend JavaScript frameworks (Angular, React, Vue).
• Experience with performance profiling tools, caching strategies, and architectural optimizations.
