We are looking for a detail-oriented and experienced Senior Testing Engineer to join our quality assurance team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for planning, designing, and executing comprehensive testing strategies (manual and/or automated) to ensure the delivery of high-quality software and systems. The role involves mentoring junior team members, contributing to the continuous improvement of testing processes, and collaborating with cross-functional teams to meet quality goals.

Key Responsibilities

Review requirement specifications and technical design documents to provide timely and meaningful feedback.
Develop detailed, comprehensive, and well-structured test plans and test cases based on requirements.
Execute manual and/or automated test cases and analyze results.
Ensure full test coverage for functional, regression, performance, integration, and system-level testing.
Identify, document, and track bugs using tools like JIRA, Bugzilla, or similar.
Participate in root cause analysis of defects and work closely with development teams to resolve issues.
Contribute to test automation framework development and scripting (if automation is in scope).
Collaborate with developers, business analysts, and product managers during all phases of the SDLC.
Conduct peer reviews and provide mentorship to junior testers and interns.
Maintain test environments and manage test data.
Ensure compliance with internal standards, customer requirements, and industry certifications (e.g., ISO, IEC, CMMI).

Qualifications

Bachelor's / Master's Degree in Computer Science, Electronics, Electrical, or a related field.
4-8 years of experience in a software/system testing role.
Solid understanding of QA methodologies, tools, and processes.
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
Excellent communication and documentation skills.

Preferred Qualifications

ISTQB or similar certification.
Experience in working with Agile/Scrum/Kanban methodologies.
Familiarity with DevOps principles and practices.
Experience in validating safety-critical systems or working under IEC 61508 / ISO 26262 / DO-178C compliance (for embedded roles).
