Description
As a Senior Design Engineer within the Spectrum Design System team at Adobe Design, you will be responsible for building high-quality Android UI components. Your role as an Individual Contributor will involve collaborating with multi-functional teams to ensure design excellence and consistency in user interface development. You will play a key role in building Spectrum-based Android components, supporting mobile product teams, and contributing to the overall engineering culture within Adobe Design. Your primary responsibilities will include collaborating with the Spectrum design team to integrate design aesthetics into Android components, partnering with product teams to implement Spectrum in Adobe's Android products, and ensuring the availability and stability of Spectrum for customers. You will also be involved in deriving data from designs, documenting engineering approaches, communicating product engineering concerns to design teams, and assisting in the discovery and delivery of component fixes. To succeed in this role, you must have a strong understanding of building performant UI components in the Android ecosystem, experience with Android Studio, Kotlin, and Java, and a passion for attention to design details. Additionally, you should have experience with frameworks or SDKs, git and GitHub, UI accessibility practices, and working closely with designers. A collaborative mindset, comfort in a fast-paced environment, and familiarity with design systems are also important for success in this role.
