Job Description

Assistant Manager

Opening: 1

Location: Taratala- HO

Finance & Accounts

Reporting to: Sr. Manager

Experience: 7-12 Years


Role & responsibilities

Leading and controlling the RM - (Coal + Dolomite + Dolochar) and allied Accounts Payable team


In lieu of above responsible for the following

  1. Implementation and ensuring established SOPs are followed

  2. Checking and approving all Purchase Orders.

  3. Checking and approving all service orders / freight Contracts

  4. Checking and approving all Payment Vouchers at L2 Level,

  5. Approving and uploading of payments for respective modes - Through RTGS/ H2H/ FLC/ ILC/ BG/ Invoice mart

  6. Ensuring timely and correct accounting of all transactions

  7. Calculating deductions as per PO/ FO/ SO and ensuring recovery wherever due.

  8. Tracking advances given and ensuring prompt return of balances

  9. Ensuring correct and timely Payments to all Vendors (material suppliers, Railway freight, transporters, Govt entities, Service providers, etc)

  10. Performing and controlling 100% reconciliation of all A/cs

  11. Preparation and control of all related MIS reports. - e.g. Landed Cost, Debit / Credit balances ageing and status/ Pending Invoices, CIL Subsidiaries and others DO - PO wise balances, Monthly Form 1 , any other requirement as and when needed, etc.

  12. Tracking and controlling Inventory levels and movement thereof.

  13. Ensuring timely closure of monthly/ quarterly/ semi- annual and annual transactions with correct provisions for them.

  14. Ensuring timely Vendor Line Items Clearing.

  15. Ensuring Timely Other G/L Clearing

  16. Reconciliation of 26AS for related vendors and ensuring correct accounting and refund/ payment .

  17. Daily monitoring of Quality of materials received at Plant

  18. Tracking BRS for respective outflow/ inflow and ensuring entries are reflected in books timely and correctly

  19. Flash Reporting of any activity which leads/ may lead to loss for the Company and ensuring remedy of the same

  20. Inter Department liaison to ensure all activities are aligned towards securing interests of the Company.

  21. Any and all activities required to effectively perform the above.

  22. Any task as and when assigned by Seniors and/or Management
