Risk Analyst

As a Risk Analyst at PhonePe, you will work with data to understand patterns and anti-patterns related to risk activities such as fraud, AML, identity theft, KYC, and non-compliant activity as per RBI and company policies. Your responsibilities include defining, developing, and communicating key metrics for monitoring risky activities across various aspects of the business. To excel in this role, you must possess a Bachelor's degree in engineering or a Master's degree in Management, Maths, Statistics, or a related quantitative discipline. A minimum of 1-2 years of experience in data analytics, risk analytics, or business analytics is essential. Proficiency in SQL for data manipulation, excellent Excel skills, and a strong grasp of programming languages like SAS, Python, and R are necessary. Moreover, you should have a good understanding of statistical techniques such as regression, segmentation, and forecasting. Collaboration is key in this role as you will work closely with cross-functional teams, including Engineering, Product, Operations, and Business, to develop fraud risk solutions. Strong organizational, communication, and project management skills are vital for success. Additionally, experience with BI tools like QlikView, Tableau, or PowerBI would be advantageous.
