Quality Assurance (QA) Tester

We are seeking a QA Tester who can rigorously test everything we develop including custom code, Azure-based applications, Power Platform solutions (PowerApps, Power Automate, Power BI), and supporting services. The ideal candidate will ensure our solutions are bug-free, secure, performant, and user-friendly, meeting both technical specifications and business expectations.

Key Responsibilities

Test Planning & Strategy :

• Analyze business requirements, user stories, and technical specs to develop comprehensive test plans.
• Define testing scope, objectives, and deliverables for each project (manual and automated).
• Identify test data needs and prepare datasets for realistic testing.

Testing & Validation

• Conduct functional, integration, regression, smoke, and UAT testing across all developed features.
• Test custom code written in JavaScript, C#, Power Fx, SQL, or Azure Functions.
• Validate PowerApps, Power Automate Flows, Power BI Reports, Azure Logic Apps, and Azure Function Apps.
• Perform cross-browser, mobile, and accessibility testing (WCAG 2.1).

Automation & Scripting :

• Develop and maintain automated test scripts using tools such as Selenium, Postman, Playwright, or Power Platforms test studio.
• Automate API testing for REST endpoints in Azure APIs or Power Platform connectors.

Bug Tracking & Reporting

• Document and report issues clearly using tools like Azure DevOps, Jira, or GitHub Issues.
• Collaborate with developers and business analysts to troubleshoot and resolve issues.
• Participate in sprint reviews and defect triage meetings.

Performance & Security Testing

• Use tools like JMeter, Azure Monitor, or Application Insights to test app performance.
• Work with devs to verify security standards and test common vulnerabilities.

Documentation

• Maintain detailed test documentation, test case repositories, and user acceptance criteria.
• Provide sign-off and quality assurance reports for stakeholders.

Required Skills & Qualifications

• 3+ years of QA experience with cloud and custom application testing.
• Strong experience with Microsoft Power Platform (PowerApps, Power Automate, Power BI).
• Familiarity with Azure services: Azure Functions, Logic Apps, Blob Storage, Azure SQL, Azure DevOps.
• Hands-on testing experience with REST APIs, custom connectors, and authentication flows (OAuth, Azure AD).
• Experience writing SQL queries for data validation.
• Experience with automated testing tools (Selenium, Postman, Playwright, etc.).
• Solid understanding of SDLC, Agile/Scrum, and CI/CD pipelines.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience using Power Platform Test Studio or Regressive testing tools.
• Familiarity with YAML for PowerApps Source Code testing.
• Microsoft Certifications (PL-100, AZ-900, PL-400) are a plus.
• Background in DevOps pipelines, build/test automation.
