QA Lead Engineer

Job Description

We’re looking for a highly skilled and hands-on QA Lead who brings expertise in both manual and automation testing . You will lead end-to-end quality assurance efforts across web and mobile platforms, establish strong QA practices, and mentor a team of testers to ensure high-quality software delivery in a fast-paced development environment. Key Responsibilities: Lead and manage a QA team handling both manual and automated testing activities. Collaborate closely with Product Managers, Developers, and DevOps to define and refine testing strategies. Understand product requirements and translate them into test cases, test plans, and test automation scripts. Set up and maintain automated test frameworks (e.g., Selenium, Cypress, Playwright). Perform manual testing for new features, exploratory testing, and regression testing as needed. Ensure comprehensive test coverage for functional, integration, UI/UX, and API layers. Own defect tracking, reporting, and follow-up using tools like JIRA. Monitor and improve test effectiveness and automation coverage. Drive adoption of best QA practices, code quality, and continuous improvement. Required Skills & Qualifications: 8–10 years of overall QA experience, with at least 2+ years in a leadership/mentorship capacity. Strong command over both manual and automation testing . Proficiency in tools like Selenium, TestNG, Cypress, Postman, JMeter, Rest Assured , etc. Hands-on experience with test case management and bug tracking tools (e.g., TestRail, Zephyr, JIRA). Good understanding of REST APIs and API testing tools. Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines (e.g., Jenkins, GitLab CI). Strong analytical skills and a problem-solving mindset. Excellent verbal and written communication skills. Nice to Have (Bonus Skills): Experience in performance testing (e.g., JMeter, LoadRunner). Experience working in Agile/Scrum environments. Exposure to cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP). Knowledge of version control systems (e.g., Git). ISTQB or other QA certifications.
