Job Summary:

We are looking for a dedicated and experienced Purchase Manager for the Men’s Section – Readymade Garments, who will be responsible for end-to-end procurement of men’s apparel such as shirts, trousers, jeans, t-shirts, jackets, and ethnic wear. The role involves vendor sourcing, price negotiations, inventory planning, and ensuring timely procurement of high-quality, trend-aligned readymade garments for the men's category.

Key Responsibilities:

• Category Ownership: Manage the entire purchasing process specifically for the men’s readymade garments section.
• Vendor Sourcing: Identify and develop a strong vendor base for men’s garments—both domestic and international (if applicable).
• Costing & Negotiation: Negotiate prices, payment terms, and delivery timelines with suppliers while ensuring quality and margin targets.
• Market & Trend Analysis: Keep up with current fashion trends in men’s wear to ensure the product mix is relevant and competitive.
• Purchase Planning: Plan seasonal and monthly purchases based on sales trends, store/warehouse stock levels, and marketing campaigns.
• Quality Control: Coordinate with QA/QC teams to ensure the final products meet the required specifications and quality standards.
• Inventory Management: Maintain optimal stock levels to ensure availability without overstocking.
• Coordination: Work closely with the merchandising, design, warehouse, and store operations teams to ensure timely stock flow.
• MIS & Reporting: Maintain and present reports on purchase status, supplier performance, cost tracking, and assortment efficiency.

Requirements:

• Bachelor’s degree in Fashion, Textile Technology, Business Administration, or Supply Chain.
• 4–7 years of experience in purchasing men’s readymade garments.
• Strong knowledge of fabrics, fits, trims, and garment specifications specific to men’s wear.
• Experience with ERP or inventory systems.
• Excellent negotiation and communication skills.
• Strong analytical and trend forecasting ability.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Prior experience in retail chains, large format stores, or fashion e-commerce (focusing on men's apparel).
• Understanding of sustainable and ethical sourcing.
• Willingness to travel for vendor visits and sourcing.
