Production Supervisor

Job Title: Production Supervisor – Electrical/Mechanical

Department: Production / Manufacturing

Location: Near Taloja Toll Plaza, Kiravli, Navi Mumbai
Reporting To: Production Manager / Plant Head

Job Summary:

The Production Supervisor – Electrical/Mechanical will oversee day-to-day manufacturing operations on the shop floor. Responsible for managing manpower, ensuring production targets, quality standards, equipment efficiency, and safety compliance. The candidate should have hands-on experience in electrical or mechanical components and systems.

Key Responsibilities:

• Supervise daily production activities to meet quality and quantity targets.
• Allocate manpower, machines, and material resources efficiently to maximize output.
• Monitor machine performance, troubleshoot issues, and coordinate with maintenance for any breakdowns.
• Ensure strict adherence to standard operating procedures (SOPs) and work instructions.
• Oversee the assembly, wiring, testing, or fabrication of electrical or mechanical components as per product specifications.
• Maintain shift-wise production logs, rejection reports, downtime records, and production efficiency metrics.
• Conduct routine checks on process parameters, line balancing, and work-in-progress (WIP).
• Coordinate with the Quality team for in-process and final inspections.
• Ensure proper handling and usage of tools, equipment, and materials.
• Train and guide operators and technicians to improve productivity and maintain discipline.
• Implement and maintain 5S, Kaizen, Lean Manufacturing, and safety practices on the shop floor.

Key Requirements:

• Qualification: Diploma / BE / B.Tech in Electrical or Mechanical Engineering
• Experience: 2–5 years in a similar supervisory role in a manufacturing/assembly environment
• Knowledge & Skills:
• Strong knowledge of production processes, line balancing, and manpower handling
• Familiarity with control panels, wiring, assembly, or machining (as applicable)
• Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and work instructions
• Basic knowledge of TPM, quality systems, and safety compliance
• Computer literacy (MS Excel, ERP systems)

Preferred:

• Experience in Electrical industry, Transformers, motors, or mechanical fabrication
• Exposure to ISO 9001, ISO 14001, or IATF 16949 systems

Job Types: Full-time, Permanent

Pay: ₹15,000.00 - ₹20,000.00 per month
