Key Responsibilities Strategic Vision & Product Development: - Define and drive the UPI product strategy, aligning with broader business goals. - Lead the development and implementation of new UPI-based payment products and features, ensuring they meet market needs and regulatory requirements. - Stay ahead of industry trends, government regulations (e.g., NPCI guidelines), and emerging technologies related to UPI. Cross-Functional Collaboration: - Work closely with engineering, design, operations, and business teams to ensure the successful delivery of UPI products. - Act as the primary liaison with the National Payments Corporation of India (NPCI), banks, and other external partners to ensure smooth UPI integrations. Product Roadmap & Execution: - Own the product lifecycle from ideation to launch and continuous optimization. - Manage product backlog, prioritize features, and ensure timely releases. - Leverage data and user feedback to iterate and improve UPI features and offerings. Stakeholder Management: - Collaborate with key internal stakeholders including sales, marketing, legal, and finance to ensure alignment of UPI product strategies with organizational goals. - Regularly communicate product vision, progress, and results to executive leadership and other stakeholders. Customer Experience & Innovation: - Champion a customer-first approach in all aspects of UPI product design and development. - Identify opportunities for enhancing the user experience and improving the end-toend payment journey through UPI. Risk & Compliance Management: - Ensure compliance with regulatory standards and best practices (e.g., RBI regulations, NPCI protocols) related to UPI and digital payments. - Identify, assess, and mitigate any risks associated with UPI product offerings. Qualifications & Skills Experience: - 12+ years of experience in product management within the payments or fintech industry, with a strong focus on UPI, digital payments, or banking products. - Proven track record of managing UPI-based products and working with payment aggregators or PSPs (Payment Service Providers). - Deep understanding of the UPI ecosystem, NPCI guidelines, and associated technologies. Technical & Analytical Skills: - Strong understanding of payment systems, APIs, and transaction processing. - Ability to analyze data, conduct market research, and translate customer insights into actionable product strategies. - Comfortable working with engineering and technology teams to build, optimize, and scale UPI solutions. Leadership & Communication: - Excellent leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills. - Ability to influence and align cross-functional teams, internal stakeholders, and external partners. - Strong problem-solving skills and a collaborative mindset. Education: - Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Business, Finance, or a related field. MBA or advanced degree is a plus.
