Plant Head - Steel/ Resin

Key Deliverables: Production, Maintenance, Quality, Safety, Managing a large team of Supervisors & Operators on the shop floor & Communicating and Engaging with Site Leadership Team

• Manage operations budget to ensure minimal production cost and optimal product quality
• Review production processes and procedure to ensure they operate at highest possible efficiency
• In the event of machine breakdown, ensure timely maintenance to minimise production loss
• Collaborate with health/safety managers to develop and implement safety policies for general plant operations
• Ideally looking for a person with experience in a Steel plant and/or Resin Plant:

- Steel plant: the candidate shall have metal forming, and processing experience including thread rolling, welding Process, and have sound continuous process plant knowledge.

- Resin plant: the candidate shall have knowledge of chemical handling, chemical pumping and mixing process experience, and have sound continuous process plant knowledge.

• Knowledge of Production & Raw materials, planned changes, status reports.
• Problem Resolution / Trouble shooting for manufacturing process issues
• To develop & maintain process documentation
• Capable of creating and implementing process controls, SOP, checks and balances
• Understanding the principles of tooling design for Extrusion and Pultrusion process
• Knowledge of Maintenance activities for the plant and machinery.
• Oversee the hiring and training of operations personnel to ensure a capable workforce
• Carry out research to discover ways of improving on existing operational processes
• Liaise with purchasing managers to develop and improve delivering materials within the timeline
• Conduct employee performance appraisals to identify areas of limitation in order to provide coaching and guidance
• Delegate and assign work tasks to production staff to achieve set manufacturing targets
• Optimize production process by eliminating wastes and other constraints to improve work efficiency

Desired Candidate Profile

* Exp. in industrial goods / mining / infrastructure manufacturing plants

* Proven experience working in plant operations required

* Strong aptitude for root cause analysis and troubleshooting operational issues

* Proficient with Microsoft Office applications (MS Excel, PowerPoint & Word) and computer technology

* Familiar with operating plant equipment safety and efficiency
