Physical Education and Yoga Teacher

The Physical Education and Yoga Teacher is responsible for planning and delivering physical fitness programs that promote physical development, health, and wellness among students. This role combines traditional physical education with the practice of yoga to encourage mental well-being, flexibility, balance, and concentration. Key Responsibilities: Design and deliver age-appropriate physical education and yoga lessons in accordance with the school curriculum and guidelines. Instruct students in physical activities including sports, fitness exercises, and yoga postures (asanas), breathing techniques (pranayama), and meditation. Promote values of discipline, teamwork, resilience, and a healthy lifestyle. Organize and supervise school sports events, fitness programs, yoga sessions, and physical fitness assessments. Ensure the safety and proper use of all sports and yoga equipment. Monitor and assess student performance, providing feedback and maintaining records. Create an inclusive and engaging learning environment for all students. Identify and support students with physical challenges or special needs in coordination with relevant staff. Collaborate with other teachers and staff to integrate wellness into the school culture. Stay updated with the latest developments in physical education and yoga practices. Requirements: Education: Bachelor's or Master’s degree in Physical Education (B.P.Ed / M.P.Ed) or a related field. Certification in Yoga (e.g., Diploma, PG Diploma, or certification from a recognized institution) is required.
