You will be responsible for solving complex problems related to infrastructure cloud services and developing automation to prevent problem recurrence. Your role will involve designing, writing, and deploying software to enhance the availability, scalability, and efficiency of Oracle products and services. Additionally, you will be tasked with designing and developing architectures, standards, and methods for large-scale distributed systems. You will also play a crucial role in service capacity planning, demand forecasting, software performance analysis, and system tuning to ensure optimal performance. As an IC3 level professional, you will collaborate closely with the Site Reliability Engineering (SRE) team to jointly own a collection of services and technology areas. Your responsibilities will include gaining a comprehensive understanding of the end-to-end configuration, technical dependencies, and overall behavior of production services. You will lead the design and delivery of the mission-critical stack with a specific focus on security, resiliency, scale, and performance. Your expertise will be essential in defining and implementing enhancements in service architecture in partnership with development teams. You will be expected to articulate the technical aspects of services and technology areas and guide Development Teams in integrating premier capabilities into the Oracle Cloud service portfolio. Furthermore, your role will involve understanding and communicating the scale, capacity, security, performance attributes, and requirements of the services and technology stack. You will serve as the ultimate escalation point for complex or critical issues that have not yet been documented as Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs). Your deep understanding of service topology and dependencies will be crucial for troubleshooting issues and defining appropriate mitigations. Additionally, you will need to comprehend the impact of product architecture decisions on distributed systems and demonstrate a professional curiosity to develop a deep understanding of services and technologies.
