OpenShift Engineer

As an OpenShift Engineer with 5+ years of experience, you will be responsible for administering and supporting the OpenShift Container Platform at Clients Edge locations in Chennai, India. Your primary focus will be on building and managing clusters, provisioning container tenants, ensuring isolation and capacity management. Your role will involve working closely with infrastructure as code-based automation to maintain and enhance the platform's capacity and capabilities. A strong background in Linux administration, virtualization, networking, and security is essential for success in this position, along with providing first-class level 2 support. Practical experience in continuous integration and continuous deployment tools within the container lifecycle will also be beneficial. Your responsibilities will include managing the container platform ecosystem, assisting in change management, cluster capacity management, L2 platform support, willingness to work in shifts and take weekend on-call duties, conducting root cause analysis, writing system documentation/playbooks, providing accurate work estimates, mentoring less experienced team members, and collaborating with experienced team members on work delegation.
