Position Overview:

We are looking for a passionate and qualified Music Teacher who can teach vocal and/or instrumental music across primary to senior grades. The ideal candidate should have a deep understanding of Indian and/or Western music, strong teaching skills, and the ability to organize music-related school events and performances.

Key Responsibilities:

• Plan and deliver engaging music lessons in accordance with the school curriculum.
• Teach vocal and/or instrumental music (keyboard, harmonium, tabla, guitar, etc.).
• Prepare students for school assemblies, annual functions, inter-school competitions, and other performances.
• Encourage creativity and expression in students through musical training.
• Maintain instruments and manage the school’s music room.
• Foster an environment of musical appreciation and discipline.
• Coordinate with other teachers for integrated learning and events.
• Monitor student progress and provide constructive feedback.
• Assist in preparing students for external exams or certifications, if applicable.

Qualifications & Skills:

• Bachelor’s/Master’s Degree in Music (Vocal or Instrumental) or a Diploma from a recognized institution.
• Prior teaching experience in a school setting preferred.
• Proficiency in both Indian and Western music styles is an advantage.
• Ability to play and teach multiple instruments is desirable.
• Strong communication skills and classroom management.
• Passionate about nurturing young talent.

Work Schedule:

Monday to Saturday (as per school timings)

Remuneration:

Commensurate with qualifications and experience, as per school norms.
