Medical Assistant

Job Description:

We are hiring a Backoffice Medical Assistant to support a

US-based medical clinic. You will serve as a virtual extension of the clinic team by

coordinating surgeries, insurance approvals, and patient communications. You must

be experienced in US medical workflows and possess excellent spoken English with

a US accent.

Responsibilities:

● Review patient visit notes and extract key action items

● Schedule surgeries based on provider preferences, patient availability &

hospital slots

● Coordinate with hospitals, surgery centers, and physician offices

● Get Cardiology Clearances from referring physician offices before procedures

● Call insurance companies to obtain precertifications/authorizations for

surgeries and imaging

● Schedule lab and imaging appointments for patients (e.g., MRI, CT,

Ultrasound)

● Communicate with patients regarding:

○ Surgery dates

○ Appointment reminders

○ Post-op follow-ups

● Maintain accurate records and follow HIPAA-compliant practices

Requirements:

● Knowledge of Surgical, Gynecology, Nephrology, and Cardiology terminology

● Fluent English communication with strong US accent is a must

● Graduation in any field (Medical or Paramedical preferred)

● Excellent interpersonal and coordination skills

● Familiarity with precerts, prior authorisations, and insurance eligibility checks

Good to Have:

● Prior experience in a US clinic backoffice role

● Familiarity with eClinicalWorks (eCW)

● Background in clinical workflows or scribing

● Understanding of HIPAA and US healthcare standards

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: ₹25,000.00 - ₹45,000.00 per month
