JOB DESCRIPTION: Senior Manager – Legal
This is with a Real estate Company in Chembur, Client of HRALWAYS
We are seeking a highly experienced and detail-oriented Legal Manager with a strong background in real estate law, particularly proficient in RERA (Real Estate Regulation and Development) Act) documentation and compliance. Experience of working with a real estate firm, demonstrating a comprehensive understanding of property laws, agreements, and regulatory frameworks. This role will be crucial in ensuring legal compliance across all our projects and safeguarding the company's interests.
RERA Compliance & Documentation:
• Prepare and file RERA registration applications for new projects.
• Draft and review RERA-compliant customer agreements, allotment letters, and
declarations.
• Liaise with RERA authorities to resolve queries and ensure timely approvals and
renewals.
• Oversee the lifecycle of contracts—from drafting and negotiation to execution and
renewal.
• Maintain a repository of legal documents and ensure version control and
accessibility.
• Provide strategic legal counsel on real estate transactions, land acquisition, joint
ventures, and development agreements.
• Ensure compliance with local municipal laws, and other applicable real estate
regulations.
• Draft, vet, and negotiate legal documents including sale deeds, lease agreements,
MoUs, and power of attorney.
• Manage litigation related to property disputes, consumer complaints, and
regulatory matters.
• Coordinate with external legal counsel and represent the company in legal
proceedings
• Maintain a litigation tracker and ensure timely updates to management.
• Draft and review legal responses to customer queries, complaints, and notices.
• Ensure all customer-facing documents are legally sound and aligned with RERA
norms.
• Collaborate with CRM and sales teams to maintain transparency and legal clarity in customer dealings.
• Excellent drafting, negotiation, and communication (written and verbal) skills
• Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities with a keen eye for detail and a
team player
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Good knowledge of MS Office
Target Profile:
• Education : Bachelor's degree in Law (LLB) from a recognized university
• Experience : Minimum of 10 years of post-qualification experience as a Legal
Professional, with a substantial portion of this experience gained within a reputable
real estate development firm.
• Proven expertise and in-depth knowledge of RERA (Real Estate (Regulation and
Development) Act), 2016, and its practical application is essential.
• Strong understanding of property laws, land acquisition laws, transfer of property
act, stamp act, registration act, and other relevant real estate specific legislations.
• Proficiency in English and Marathi
• Strong stakeholder management and team leadership abilities.
• Ability to work independently and lead a team in a fast-paced environment.
• High level of integrity and professional ethics.
