Job Summary

We are seeking a detail-oriented and dedicated Lab Assistant to support our biofertilizer and biopesticide production unit. The ideal candidate will assist in the preparation, maintenance, and quality control of microbial cultures, conduct basic lab experiments, maintain records, and ensure lab hygiene and compliance.

Key Responsibilities

• Assist in the preparation of microbial cultures (liquid and carrier-based)
• Perform basic microbiological techniques such as serial dilution, plating, inoculation, and incubation
• Help in the formulation and packaging of biofertilizer products
• Maintain cleanliness and sterilization of equipment and lab area
• Support quality testing of raw materials and finished products under supervision
• Maintain accurate records of lab processes and data logs
• Follow safety protocols and adhere to standard operating procedures (SOPs)
• Assist in documentation for certifications and audits (FCO, ISO, etc.)

Qualifications & Skills

Educational Qualification:

• B.Sc./Diploma in Microbiology, Biotechnology, Agriculture, or related life sciences

Preferred Experience:

• 1–3 years of experience in a microbiology/agri-input lab or similar production unit

Skills Required:

• Knowledge of basic microbiology techniques
• Familiarity with sterilization, autoclaving, and media preparation
• Good record-keeping and observation skills
• Ability to work in a team under supervision
• Basic computer skills (MS Excel/Word for documentation)
• Understanding of organic agriculture and bio-inputs is a plus

Work Environment & Conditions

• Lab-based work environment with occasional work in production area
• PPE (lab coat, gloves, masks) will be provided and must be used at all times
• Training will be provided for SOPs, safety, and compliance protocols

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: ₹8,425.49 - ₹15,000.00 per month
