The Industry Process Consultant (IPC) is responsible for the analysis, design, and implementation of planning processes within the DELMIA Quintiq software, particularly in the Macro Planner and Scheduler modules. We are seeking an experienced IPC with comprehensive knowledge in process optimization and implementation. The ideal candidate should possess a strong functional and technical foundation in DELMIA Quintiq software and have hands-on experience with complete project lifecycles (Exploration, Refinement, Solution Design/Build, Testing, Deployment) especially in manufacturing and logistics environments.
The consultant will leverage expertise in program- and production planning, operative scheduling to optimize the client s planning operations. The IPC will collaborate with cross-functional teams of IT and business partners to analyze business requirements, identify improvement opportunities, and implement effective solutions.
Working in an agile working environment (BMW AWM based on Scrum and other frameworks), the IPC will participate in refinement sessions, sprint and backlog planning as well as sprint review and retro to ensure continuous improvement and alignment with product goals.
Responsibilities include master data management, capacity planning and optimization as well as production order scheduling. The candidate should have experience in DELMIA Quintiq software, strong technical and functional skills and the ability to work effectively in a dynamic, fast-paced manufacturing environment.
What should you bring along
- Minimum of 4 years of experience in the implementation and support of planning processes, ideally in a full project or product lifecycle.
- Familiarity with agile methodologies, e.g. Scrum or LESS, SaFe and experience working in agile product or project teams.
- Experience in leading or supporting complete DELMIA Quintiq implementations, including requirements analysis, design, configuration, testing, training, and go-live support/ post-go-live support.
- Ability to configure and customize DELMIA Quintiq modules based on specific business requirements.
- Understanding of master data: material master data, bills of materials, routing, work centers, and production versions.
- Support for the integration of DELMIA Quintiq with other systems and modules (e.g., ERP systems, MES systems).
- Analyze and troubleshoot issues in production planning, capacity planning and shop floor execution.
- Coordinate with business key users and end-users to provide support and resolve issues.
- Prepare functional and technical specifications for customizations and enhancements.
- Conduct user training and create documentation.
- Ensure adherence to best practices and standards in DELMIA Quintiq software. Align BMW business requirements, processes and objectives.
- Design, customize, configure, and test the Macro Planner and Scheduler modules.
- Identify gaps and issues and develop solutions.
- Document functional designs, test cases, and results.
- Proactively identify and propose business process and system enhancements.
- Provide consulting services for both new implementations (green field) and existing implementations (brown field).
- Act as a connector between business functions and the technical development team and consider operations aspect already during refinement and solution design.
- Provide training and user support if needed.
- Work self-directed and independently.
Must have technical skill
- Strong configuration and usage knowledge in the DELMIA Quintiq Macro Planner and Scheduler modules.
- Hands-on experience in at least one full-cycle implementation project.
- Integration experience with other relevant systems and modules like SAP PP and/or MES.
- Ability to create functional specifications for custom development.
- Proficiency in production master data management: material master data, bills of materials, routing, and production versions.
- Basic knowledge of data analysis and interpretation to support decision-making.
