Interior Design Draftsman

The Interior Design Draftsman position involves developing IFC/shop drawings based on the design concept, with a focus on coordinating structural and MEP aspects. It necessitates a keen eye for detail and proficiency in Interior Fit-out drawings. Candidates should have previous experience in ID consultancy or an Architectural Design company. To qualify for this role, candidates typically need an Interior Design Diploma, NCVT in Civil/Architectural draughtsman, Diploma in Architectural assistantship, or a related field. Additionally, 2-5 years of GCC experience in a relevant position or 3-7 years in ID Design and development background in India is preferred. Proficiency in interior fit-out drawings, design development, and Issued for Construction drawings is essential. Experience in coordinating with Structural, MEP, and Interior design requirements is also required. Key responsibilities include producing detailed Interior Fit-out drawings using AutoCAD/Revit, preparing various lists and schedules such as drawings register, design timeline schedule program, finishing schedule, and details for specific areas like toilets, bathrooms, staircase, roof, and waterproofing. The ability to create 2D working drawings from approved 3D models and work effectively both independently and as part of a team is crucial. Furthermore, the role involves problem-solving to identify and resolve design issues that may arise during the design and construction process. Collaborating with architects and team members to understand project requirements, objectives, and design intent is also part of the job scope.
