The Role

Industrial Designer

You’ll collaborate with engineers, clinicians, and end users to create functional, ergonomic, and beautiful medical devices that make a real difference. Your work will bridge usability, aesthetics, and manufacturing, delivering designs that are not just visionary but viable.

Responsibilities

• Design assistive and rehabilitation medical devices with a user-first mindset
• Create sketches, CAD models, 3D renderings, and functional prototypes
• Apply design thinking to solve usability and ergonomic challenges
• Ensure designs are optimized for manufacturing (DFM)
• Collaborate with engineering and clinical teams through iterative product development
• Prepare detailed drawings and documentation for production
• Stay updated with materials, medical design trends, and manufacturing processes

What We’re Looking For

• Bachelor's degree in Industrial Design, Product Design, or related field
• 2+ years of hands-on experience in product/industrial design
• Strong portfolio showcasing complete design-to-product workflows
• Proficiency in CAD tools (e.g., Fusion 360, SolidWorks, Rhino)
• Practical understanding of DFM and prototyping
• Good grasp of ergonomics, human-centered design, and design validation
• Experience in healthcare, assistive tech, or robotics is a strong plus
• Collaborative mindset and strong problem-solving ability
