Job Summary:

We are looking for an experienced and passionate Horticulturist to manage and enhance the landscaping and plantation activities across our estates in Salem and Yercaud. The ideal candidate should have hands-on experience in managing gardens, nurseries, ornamental plants, and agricultural or plantation-based horticulture projects.

Key Responsibilities:

• Plan, develop, and maintain gardens, lawns, nurseries, and plantation areas within the estate and tower premises.
• Monitor the health of all plants and greenscapes, including pest control, irrigation, and fertilization.
• Recommend and implement planting schemes based on climate, soil type, and aesthetic requirement.
• Supervise and train the gardening staff, assigning daily tasks and ensuring proper horticultural practices are followed.
• Maintain inventory of plants, tools, fertilizers, and pesticides.
• Prepare budgets for gardening activities and maintain cost control.
• Work closely with estate management for beautification and sustainability projects.
• Ensure proper upkeep of indoor plants and ornamental landscaping.

Skills and Qualifications:

• Bachelor's or Diploma in Horticulture, Agriculture, or related field.
• 2 to 3 years of practical experience in a horticulturist or plantation supervisory role.
• Strong knowledge of plant species, soil types, seasonal plants, and garden design.
• Good leadership and team coordination skills.
• Basic understanding of irrigation systems and organic practices is a plus.
