As a Guidewire developer at PwC, you will play a crucial role in the development and customization of applications using the Guidewire platform. Guidewire is a sophisticated software suite designed to equip insurance companies with essential tools for policy administration, claims management, and billing. In this position, your responsibilities will include designing, coding, and testing software solutions that cater to the specific needs of insurance organizations. With a requirement of 10 to 14 years of experience, the key roles and responsibilities for this role include: - Supporting sprint planning and collaborating with teams across different locations and clients. - Analyzing client requirements and providing valuable insights. - Reviewing estimates and recommending necessary updates. - Completing design and development tasks in a timely manner. - Guiding the team on various tasks and ensuring their successful completion. - Conducting design and code reviews to maintain quality standards. - Providing support for testing activities and addressing client queries effectively. - Interfacing and communicating with the onsite team to ensure smooth project execution. - Actively participating in scrum calls and delivering regular status reports. - Engaging in Center of Excellence (CoE) activities, training sessions, recruitments, and other relevant initiatives as per requirements and interest. The ideal candidate for this role possesses the following preferred skill set: - Hands-on experience in Guidewire products, specifically ClaimCenter. - Proficiency in one of the streams - Configuration. - Strong knowledge of the Guidewire platform, including Gosu scripting, UI, and Data Model. - Good understanding of Webservices, XML, and ant script. - Experience with databases such as Oracle or SQL Server, along with expertise in SQL. - Familiarity with Source Code Management (SCM) tools like GIT, TFS, SVN, etc. - Knowledge of servers/containers like Tomcat, JBoss, or Websphere. - Exposure to cloud technologies such as AWS or Azure. - Excellent written and oral communication skills. - Outstanding analytical capabilities. - Experience in Agile SCRUM or SAFe methodology. - Domain expertise in the insurance sector. - Sound knowledge of software architecture and design patterns. - Proficiency in estimation, team leadership, code review, and mentoring. - At least two successful Guidewire implementations. - Strong estimation skills. The educational qualifications required for this role include a degree in BTech/BE/MTech/MS/MCA/MBA.,
