Job Description

Role & responsibilities

ETL Tester

Key Responsibilities:

Design, develop, and execute test cases for ETL processes.
Perform data validation and data integrity testing across various data sources and destinations.
Work closely with developers, data engineers, and business analysts to understand ETL requirements.
Troubleshoot data issues and identify root causes through SQL analysis.
Perform regression, system, integration, and UAT testing.
Validate ETL performance and load testing as needed.
Create detailed documentation of test cases, test results, and defect reports.

Required Skills:

ETL Tools:
Proficiency in
Talend
(preferred),
Informatica PowerCenter
, or
IBM DataStage
.
SQL Expertise:
Strong experience in writing complex SQL queries for data comparison, validation, and debugging.
Data Warehousing Concepts:
Good understanding of data models, schemas, and data flows in a DWH environment.
Testing Skills:
Experience in functional, integration, regression, and system testing of ETL workflows.
Defect Management Tools:
Exposure to tools like
JIRA

Bugzilla
, or similar.
