Droom - Quality Assurance Engineer - Manual/Automation Testing

Job Title : QA Engineer Location : Gurgaon, NCR Experience : 2 - 4 years Role We are looking for a QA Engineer with experience in manual and automation testing to ensure the quality and reliability of our web and mobile applications. The ideal candidate should be a Grey Box tester, capable of debugging software, writing automated test scripts, and understanding the underlying code. This role offers a fast-paced engineering environment where you will solve new challenges daily, collaborate with a Silicon Valley-based tech team, and make a direct impact on the product. Key Responsibilities Test Execution & Automation : Perform manual and automated testing for web and mobile applications. Develop, execute, and maintain test cases and test scripts based on design documents. Write and modify automation test scripts using appropriate testing tools. Debugging & Troubleshooting Analyze test results and debug issues to ensure high-quality releases. Collaborate with developers to identify, log, and resolve defects efficiently. Quality Assurance Processes Implement and follow QA methodologies and best practices. Ensure product compliance with functional, performance, and security standards. Cross-functional Collaboration Work closely with product managers, designers, and developers to ensure seamless releases. Provide feedback on UI/UX and overall user experience improvements. Qualifications & Requirements Minimum 2+ years of QA experience in web and mobile application testing. Strong understanding of QA methodologies, test plans, and automation tools. B.E/B.Tech/M.C.A in Computer Science or a related technical field. Hands-on experience with automation frameworks (Selenium, Appium, etc.). Proficiency in databases (SQL, MySQL, etc.) and knowledge of networking concepts. Experience with Linux-based commands for debugging and testing. Knowledge of at least one programming language (Python, Java, JavaScript, etc.). Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail. Excellent communication, interpersonal skills, and the ability to collaborate across teams. Result-oriented mindset with a passion for innovation and technology. Preferred Skills (Good To Have) Experience with API testing tools like Postman, JMeter, or RestAssured. Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines and DevOps practices.
