Discipline Leader Piping

Position Summary:

Responsible for overseeing and managing all piping activities within the India office.

Leads the local engineering team, ensuring projects meet international standards, local regulations, deadlines, budgets, and quality and safety requirements.

Education And Experience:

• BE/B.Tech degree-

  Mechanical/Chemical Engineer.
• Overall

  20+ years

  of experience in the

  EPC and Detail Design Companies Oil & Gas/ Petrochemical/ Refinery/Power/Hydrogen Projects.

• Minimum experience

  10 years as HOD or Lead Piping

  engineer with Leading and reputed Engineering EPC and Detail Design companies.
• Experience on

  Proposals, FEED, Detail Engineering, Site Support Construction & As- Built

  Phases of Project.

• Brownfield & Greenfield

  Project Execution Experience
• You have good past experience in working on SP3D, E3D/PDMS, Plant 3D software’s and Auto CAD.
• You are fluent in

  English.

• Problem-solving attitude; results-oriented

Key Responsibilities:

• Team Management:

Lead, motivate, and develop the local piping engineering and technical team.

• Project Supervision

  :

Oversee piping design, engineering, procurement, ensuring compliance with standards (e.g., ASME, IS codes).

• Standards & Regulations:

Ensure adherence to local and international codes; keep team updated on regulatory changes.

• International Collaboration:

Coordinate with global teams and clients, facilitating effective communication.

• Quality & Safety Control:

Implement and monitor Company quality and safety procedures;

• Cost & Schedule Management:

Monitor project budgets and timelines; address deviations promptly.

• Innovation & Continuous Improvement:

Promote new technologies and methodologies to optimize piping activities

Skills & Competencies:

Specify piping materials and components

Further develop and strengthen Piping department to meet IIEPL business objectives.

Required to run a Skill Development Program in the IIEPL Piping Discipline: -

  develop junior piping engineers/designers

  by providing them proper trainings.
• The trainings are to be aimed at developing Strong Fundamental Piping Layout Concepts.
• Shall

  share Lessons learned & Best practices

  from current & past projects so that the whole team learns from past mistakes and does not repeat them.

• Identify, develop & manage a team

  of Inhouse engineers comprising of Materials, Layout & Stress (

  subject matter experts

  ).
