What You’ll Own As The Development Manager
- Working hands-on with Engineering Teams to implement the software with quality and on time.
- Instill best practices for software development and documentation, assure designs meet requirements, and deliver high-quality work on tight schedules.
- Support Engineering teams with problem solving, solutioning, hands on implementation and trouble shooting.
- Working on regular basis with Senior Stakeholder across Product, Engineering, Architecture and Application Support, across multiple geographies and collaborating with them on complex, global engineering efforts to ensure architecture alignment, team member coordination, and implementation timelines.
- Handle complex Stakeholder and Engineer team management ask to come up with options and solutions to enable delivery of software with quality.
- Managing mutli-tasking across different functions, Product, Development, QA, Automation, Release, DevOps, Agile to enable software delivery in line with business expectations.
- Best of class hiring and build strong teams across Development, QA, Automation, Release Engineering, DevOps
- Enabling technology modernization process optimization across teams using latest technology involving Containerization/Kubernetes, Kafka, Generative AI.
- Support growth of engineers via career management, goal setting, development of individual development plans, and performance reviews.
- Assess compliance, risks, and vulnerabilities to ensure all systems and baselines are operationally sound, performant at scale, and exceed customer expectations.
- Ensure proper communication concerning changes in established milestones or challenges that may affect the outcome of a project's completion date.
What You Bring
- Must have 12+ years of overall IT experience.
- Must have a B.S/B.Tech/BE in Computer Science/Engineering (preferably MS/ME/M.Tech/MCA)
- Must have at least 5+ years (preferred 10 or more) of experience managing total team size of 20+ engineers.
- Must have 5+ years of Engineering Management experience leading at least 8, direct reports who themselves are from Development, QA, Automation, Release, DevOps and Scrum Master.
- Must have 5+ years of experience working with Senior Stakeholder across Product, Engineering, Architecture and Application Support.
- Must have 5+ years of Engineering Management experience managing different functions including Development, QA, Automation, Release Engineering and Agile Scrum Master.
- Must have 5+ years of experience in managing applications/platform which are PCI/PII DSS compliant.
- Must have 10+ years of hands-on development experience with Legacy Distributed Systems involving Java/J2EE, Microservices, Angular, MFE,JS, REST, SOAP, Oracle RDBMS, Spring, Hibernate, Spring Boot, Git, Maven, Gradle, Jenkins, Nexus, Sonar Qube, Checkmarx/Veracode
- Must have 7+ years of expertise in building REST APIs and Micro services architecture
- Must have 5+ years of hand-on development experience in Java 8(preferably Java 17), Git Hub, Containerization (Docker and Kubernetes), Ansible, Blackduck, CI/CD automation
- Good to have at least 3+ years (preferably 5+ years) of hands-on experience in AWS, Kafka, Terraform and Cloud computing.
- Must have Strong and proven experience in the field of architecture design, developments, and deployment of applications both on-premises and on Cloud.
- Must have Excellent verbal, presentation, and written communication skills.
- Must have good understanding of SAFE agile principles & experience working with Scrum/Kanban agile methodology.
