Company Link- https://www.snkdrain.com Industry -Construction equipment supplier  Location- Western Avenue, Aundh Education: Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering or related field. Experience: 2–5 years of experience in sheet metal design and fabrication (can be adjusted for senior/junior roles). Software Proficiency: Strong skills in CAD tools (e.g., UG NX Sheet Metal module), PDM systems, and MS Office. Knowledge: Understanding of DFM (Design for Manufacturability), material properties (e.g., stainless steel, mild steel, plastics etc ), welding, and surface finishing processes. Preferred Qualifications: Experience in designing sheet metal , plastic, composite frp products  Key Responsibilities: Design & Development: Create 3D models and 2D drawings of sheet metal parts using CAD software (e.g., UG NX). Develop detailed designs for Gratings, chamber covers, customised linear drainage channels , floor drains and various other products Ensure proper fit, form, and function of parts and assemblies. Manufacturing Support: Collaborate with manufacturing and fabrication teams to ensure designs are cost-effective and feasible for production. Generate flat patterns and DXF files for laser cutting, punching, and bending operations. Engineering Analysis: Optimize designs for weight reduction, material utilization, and ease of assembly. Documentation & Standards: Prepare and maintain engineering documentation including BOMs, ECNs, technical drawings, and specifications. Ensure compliance with relevant industry codes and internal standards (e.g., ANSI, ISO, GD&T). Project Collaboration: Work closely with cross-functional teams including electrical, mechanical, quality, and supply chain teams. Participate in design reviews and support prototype builds and testing. Soft Skills: Strong analytical and problem-solving skills. Good communication and teamwork abilities. Attention to detail and commitment to quality. Ability to manage multiple projects and meet deadlines.
