Deputy / General Manager Engineering

As the Deputy General Manager/ General Manager - Design & Engineering at Rotomotive Powerdrives India Ltd., you will be reporting directly to the Director of Design & Engineering and overseeing a team of Engineering Managers, Manager- Customer Support, and Manager-Quality, with a total team size of 15-18 including direct reportees. Your primary location will be Anand. With over 20 years of experience in the industry, including 10 to 17 years of relevant experience, you will be responsible for leading the design and engineering department. Your qualifications include a BE/BTech/MTech in Electrical, with the potential for a Mechanical Engineer in rare cases. The ideal age group for this role is between 30 to 40 years. Your responsibilities will include utilizing your knowledge of electrical machine design, VFDs, robotics, ANSYS or similar simulation/motor design software, and SolidWorks CAD software. While not mandatory, familiarity with these tools will be advantageous. Your key focus areas will involve managing the entire product development process, designing and implementing operational processes, analyzing and re-designing existing products and processes for efficiency enhancements, and collaborating closely with cross-functional teams including Purchase, Quality, Manufacturing, and Marketing departments. In this role, you will also be expected to develop and negotiate with vendors for new components, work on new product development with the sales and marketing teams, monitor and engage with customers for customized solutions, and ensure the achievement of product cost goals. Moreover, you will be responsible for preparing and executing product development plans, creating and maintaining technical documentation, and driving continuous improvement in production operations. Your role will be crucial in contributing to the success and growth of the company by leading the design and engineering functions towards innovation, operational excellence, and cost-effective solutions.,
