You will be a Senior Software Engineer in the field of Computer-Aided Engineering (CAE) with 5 to 10 years of experience. The location of this full-time position is in Pune. As a Senior Software Engineer, you will collaborate with both onshore and offshore team members to work on software design, development, and testing tasks. Your primary focus will be on designing software with a component-based architecture to deliver customer-focused, robust, scalable, and reusable software components in a timely manner. To excel in this role, you should have at least 5 years of hands-on development experience with large-scale commercial software. Expertise in design, development, and support of Database Management Systems (DBMS) is essential, along with knowledge of various database systems, including object-oriented databases. Proficiency in C++ and algorithm design, as well as strong Visual Studio debugging capabilities, is required. Experience with Interface based programming, parallel processing, and thread safety is crucial. You should also have a strong background in software architecture and design, along with familiarity with Agile Software Development methodologies and code management systems such as GIT and Perforce. Experience in developing software on Windows and Linux platforms using tools like Visual Studio, Eclipse, VTune, etc., is necessary. Proficiency in Unified Modeling Language (UML) and Object-Oriented Analysis and Design (OOAD) is expected. Knowledge of automation tools and scripting is beneficial, with experience in Python being preferred. The ideal candidate will possess a Master's degree in Computer Science or Engineering, while a PhD is preferred for this position.
