Customer Quality Engineer

We are seeking a detail-oriented and proactive customer quality engineer to manage customer-facing quality activities in the racking industry. The ideal candidate will be responsible for resolving customer complaints, ensuring compliance with quality standards, and driving continuous improvement initiatives to enhance product and service quality

Role & responsibilities

Act as the primary point of contact for all customer quality concerns and complaints.

Investigate customer issues, perform root cause analysis (RCA), and implement corrective and preventive actions (CAPA).

Coordinate with internal teams (design, production, logistics) to address customer feedback and implement improvements.

Ensure customer requirements and specifications are clearly understood and met throughout the product lifecycle.

Conduct product audits, inspections, and testing to verify conformance to quality standards.

Maintain and analyze customer quality metrics, reporting trends and KPIs.

Lead quality reviews and customer complaint meetings; document findings and action plans.

Assist in developing and maintaining quality control plans, FMEAs, and process audits.

Participate in new product introduction (NPI) to ensure quality is built into the design and manufacturing processes.

Support ISO 9001 and other industry-related certification and audit requirements.

Preferred candidate profile

Experience with welding, powder coating, or sheet metal fabrication processes.

Experience with ISO 9001 or equivalent quality management systems.
