The Contracts and Procurement Engineer position is a pivotal role within the "Precast Works Competency Centre" (PWCC) at L&T Construction Group, operating as part of a strategic initiative. As the Learning and Organizational Development Lead at PWCC, your role will be instrumental in conceptualizing and implementing comprehensive capability-building programs aligned with the company's strategic objectives for precast projects. Key Responsibilities: - **Contract Management**: Analyze contracts for large tenders, review terms and conditions, eligibility criteria, qualifications, and bid offers. Identify risks, opportunities, and additional scope items that can be converted to Precast. Evaluate and manage contract terms to mitigate risks and ensure compliance. Review costing for efficient price bid offers. - **Cost Control**: Assist in monitoring expenses and supplier terms to maintain budgetary control and cost-effectiveness. - **Procurement Management**: Oversee procurement activities related to materials and services, ensuring timely and cost-effective acquisition across various departments. - **Supplier Sourcing**: Identify and assess specialized suppliers in precast works to ensure high quality, reliability, and cost-efficiency of materials and services. - **Rate Negotiation**: Collaborate with departments to negotiate contracts and purchase agreements for favorable terms and conditions. - **Project Collaboration**: Work closely with departments to align procurement with material requirements and project timelines. - **Rate Standardization**: Network with vendors to conduct rate analysis and establish standardized rates across different categories for all departments involved. - **Compliance**: Ensure adherence to company policies, industry regulations, and quality standards. - **Technology Integration**: Support the adoption of new technologies and best practices in procurement processes. - **Digital**: Utilize various Digital and AI tools to enhance efficiency in reading contracts, rate quotations, and terms & conditions. The ideal candidate for this role should possess a Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering along with 6-7 years of relevant experience. Proficiency in analytical thinking, logical reasoning, data analysis, and statistical analysis is required to excel in this position.
