Summary : The role incumbent is responsible for working in team of technical services for technology absorption of the new plants coming up at DCTL, reviewing data packages and providing input to support smooth startup during commissioning. Ensuring preparation/review of the schemes/ technical support for the smooth operation of the existing plant and to prepare/review the technical schemes against the improvement ideas of various plants at DCTL; Monitoring the success of the schemes implemented. Responsibility: 1. Absorbing the New Plants Technology coming up at DCTL in terms of BEP absorption & assisting Head/Lead TSD for changes, if any, to ensure smooth commissioning. 2. Preparation of scheme (PD, PFD, PID, PDS/IPDS etc.) for improvement initiatives in existing and upcoming plant/product. 3. Data collation for DCTL on EC/ CTE/ CCA, from data integrity viewpoint. Monitoring and analysis of data and providing input for compliance. 4. Reviewing/ Preparation of the schemes for the Plant/ Process/ Equipment performance improvements. 5. Provide/ update the SOPs for any new change in process or equipment operation. 6. Preparation of capex proposals on savings and payback period for new modifications in the plant to improve operating convenience in the plant. 7. Supporting operation team for Management of Change (MOC) by providing schemes with complete technical backup. 8. Ideation, detailing and implementation of continual improvement in QCDSE (Quality, Cost, Delivery, Safety & Environment). 9. Evaluating existing production norms and proposal preparation for meeting and improving norms. The above description is a general statement of required major duties and responsibilities performed on a regular and continuous basis. Functional | Technical Knowledge Required for this Role : Knowledge of chemical processes and unit operations including batch and continuous. Basic process calculations e.g. Equipment sizing, line sizing. Preparation of energy and mass balance calculations. Knowledge of Excel, word & AutoCAD software. Process, SOPs and Critical parameters. Knowledge of HAZOP, HIRA and QEMS. Knowledge of ASPEN and HTRI / EDR tools is preferrable. Practical experience for preparation and reviewing of PD, PFD, PID, PDS & IPDS. Technical knowledge on treatment of effluents.
