Job Description

The role of Cluster Manager - Rural Business Banking in the Retail Banking department involves managing and expanding the Rural Business banking business in the assigned geography. The primary responsibility is to develop strategies to achieve growth targets for branches by efficiently managing operations and resources with a focus on cost-effectiveness and leveraging technology. The role is crucial in ensuring the expansion of branch footprint, increasing product penetration, and delivering high-quality customer service. Collaboration with product and operations teams is key to driving effective customer acquisition, servicing, and deepening relationships. Additionally, building and nurturing teams, systems, processes, and a branch network culture are integral parts of the role. Key Responsibilities: - Support in achieving business goals by establishing a strong business network. - Understand the competitive landscape and market dynamics, providing feedback to product teams. - Manage a team of branch managers to drive client acquisition and deepen existing customer relationships by offering a range of banking services. - Ensure pricing, business processes, and policies are in the best interest of the organization. - Develop networks to promote multiple products across different locations. - Share knowledge and best practices with other regions, cluster branches, and headquarters. - Conduct regular business reviews to ensure successful strategy execution. - Uphold high ethical standards and comply with all regulations and laws. - Cultivate relationships with individual and corporate customers. - Lead manpower planning, recruitment, and training processes to ensure high-performance talent at all levels. - Implement livelihood advancement and community development initiatives. - Provide training, coaching, and guidance to branch personnel for their development. - Evaluate new initiatives for operational efficiency and oversee their implementation. - Collaborate with other branch departments to offer a wide range of products and services to customers. Secondary Responsibilities: - Mentor and coach senior team members on customer centricity, innovation, compliance, and integrity. - Foster an environment focused on automation and digital enablement to meet customer needs effectively. - Attract and retain top talent to support the bank's growth objectives. - Ensure strong employee relationships, motivation, and engagement to drive results and maintain high levels of employee satisfaction. Managerial and Leadership Responsibilities: - Lead a team of Relationship Managers and Portfolio Managers to drive business development and maintain a healthy portfolio. - Cultivate a strong working culture to foster a highly efficient and performance-oriented team.
