This is a full-time on-site role for a Business Development Engineer located in Chennai. The Business Development Engineer will be responsible for identifying and developing new business opportunities, cultivating relationships with clients, conducting market research, preparing proposals, and collaborating with the engineering team to deliver tailored solutions. The role includes preparing and presenting reports, attending industry events, and contributing to the strategic growth of the company.
Key Responsibilities:
• 3 - 5 years’ experience in Business Development, with at least 3 years in Market Research, Lead Generation, Contact Discovery, Appointment Generation and Inquiry follow-up.
• Must have a track record of success in Managing potential business and converting to prospect to inquiry at least will be preferred RFQ/Inquiry generation experience in Greenfield, Brownfield, Project Management and Maintenance Services.
• Business Development experience and Lead, Prospect, Meeting and appointment generating skills as well as strategic mindset with effective customer orientation and readiness to intensive working, multi-tasking, and regular travelling
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills in Englis, both written and verbal, with the ability to communicate with internal and external partners of all levels.
• Passionate to Learn and Implement in daily activities.
• Preferred market knowledge of Emerging markets with new engineering technologies in Regional Industrial Areas/ SEZ for new factory setups like Semiconductor, Electronics, Battery, EVs, etc.
• Good experience in Soft tools like Microsoft Office & CRM. Highly goal-oriented, assertive and a hands-on problem solver for Prospecting and Appointment Generation.
• Good Presentation and Data analysis skills. Language with English: Also should pose respective regional native languages ( Regional language for developing good business relationships).
