Job Overview

We are seeking an experienced

Business Analyst

with a strong background in

Energy & Commodities Trading

. The ideal candidate will have a deep understanding of systems engineering concepts, Agile methodologies, and proven analytical and problem-solving skills. This role involves working closely with cross-functional teams to deliver business solutions that align with trading and risk management objectives.

Key Responsibilities

  • Collaborate with stakeholders to gather, define, and document business requirements specific to energy and commodities trading.
  • Analyze and model current business processes, data flows, and system architectures to identify opportunities for improvement.
  • Translate business needs into functional specifications and ensure alignment throughout the software development lifecycle.
  • Support product owners and development teams within Agile frameworks such as Scrum or SAFe.
  • Facilitate requirement traceability from inception through delivery and testing phases.
  • Conduct impact analysis, risk assessments, and feasibility studies for trading solutions.
  • Engage with developers, designers, and software suppliers to ensure solutions meet both business and technical requirements.
  • Participate in defining test strategies, acceptance criteria, and support user acceptance testing (UAT).
  • Provide domain expertise in energy and commodities trading, contributing to solution design and decision-making.
  • Prepare clear and comprehensive documentation for stakeholders at all levels.
  • Drive continuous improvement initiatives within the business analysis function.

Mandatory Skills

  • Strong understanding of systems engineering concepts.
  • Solid experience with Agile frameworks (e.g., Scrum, Kanban, SAFe) and Agile tools.
  • Systematic and analytical approach to problem-solving.
  • Exceptional attention to detail and precision in documentation.
  • Strong interpersonal and stakeholder management skills.
