LIC of India is a state-owned public sector life insurance corporation and is the largest financial institution and life insurance organization in India. With its central office in Mumbai, it operates through 8 Zonal offices, 109 divisional offices, and 2048 fully computerized branches. To cater to rural populations, LIC has established 992 satellite offices. Since its nationalization and formation by an Act of Parliament in 1956, LIC has been a key player in financial and infrastructure development in India. It offers over 40 different plans to meet the varied needs of society, including basic insurance, term assurance, pension, capital market linked, and health plans.

Role Description

This is a full-time hybrid role for a Bima Sakhi, located in Kochi, with the flexibility of some work from home. The Bima Sakhi will be responsible for promoting and selling life insurance products to potential clients, providing excellent customer service, and managing client relationships. Daily tasks include identifying client needs, presenting suitable insurance plans, achieving sales targets, and maintaining records of client interactions.

Qualifications

Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
Sales and negotiation skills
Customer service skills and a client-focused approach
Basic knowledge of insurance products and financial services
Ability to work independently and as part of a team
Strong organizational and time management skills
Experience in the insurance or financial services industry is a plus
Bachelor's degree in any field is preferred
