Job Description

You have a Bachelor's degree or equivalent practical experience along with 7 years of experience in data analytics, trust and safety, policy, cybersecurity, or related fields. Ideally, you also have experience in roles related to business analysis, statistical analysis, or Machine Learning. Additionally, proficiency in SQL, building dashboards, data collection/transformation, visualization/dashboards, or a scripting/programming language such as Python is preferred. You should possess experience in process/project management and have the ability to navigate and influence cross-team stakeholders. Your skills should enable you to solve large unstructured business problems in fraud investigations and risk management space, demonstrating excellent problem-solving abilities to process high amounts of data to drive business strategies and decisions effectively. As a member of the Trust & Safety team, you will be required to address significant challenges that impact the safety and integrity of Google products. Your responsibilities will involve leveraging technical expertise, problem-solving skills, user insights, and proactive communication to safeguard users and partners from abuse across various Google products like Search, Maps, Gmail, and Google Ads. You are expected to be a strategic thinker with a global perspective, collaborating with Google engineers and product managers to combat abuse and fraud cases swiftly and effectively. Your dedication to upholding trust in Google and ensuring the highest levels of user safety will be paramount in your role. Trust & Safety at Google is a dedicated team of experts striving to maintain user trust and combat abuse on a daily basis. By partnering with various teams within Google, we aim to implement innovative solutions to tackle abuse areas including malware, spam, and account hijacking. Comprising Analysts, Policy Specialists, Engineers, and Program Managers, we work tirelessly to minimize risks and combat abuse across all Google products, supporting users, advertisers, and publishers worldwide in over 40 languages. Your responsibilities will include conceptualizing and overseeing impactful projects that enhance user safety and experience in collaboration with cross-functional stakeholders such as Engineering, Product, Legal, Policy, Sales, and other Trust and Safety teams. You will be required to conduct investigative fraud and abuse analysis, generating actionable insights and recommendations. Identifying opportunities for new signals, automation, workflow enhancements, and operational efficiency gains will be key aspects of your role, with a focus on driving solutions to completion. Participation in the regular on-call coverage rotation to address sensitive issues and escalations will also be part of your duties. Furthermore, mentoring and providing guidance to team members will be essential for fostering growth and development within the team.,
