Summary and Overview of the Position
As an Associate Creative Director at Gutenberg, you will have the opportunity to work across markets such as US, UK, Singapore, and India and will be responsible for growing the Business, Clients, Team as well as developing Digital Marketing strategy in line with Gutenberg’s growth trajectory.

Proven experience in a creative leadership role within an advertising agency or digital marketing firm, with a strong emphasis on UI/UX design for digital campaigns.
Primary responsibilities include and are not restricted to the following.
Creative Leadership & Strategic Client Servicing;
- Lead the creative vision and strategy across various platforms including web, social media, videos and emerging digital technologies from ideation through final production for a diverse range of campaigns and projects.
- Translate complex marketing objectives and strategic briefs into compelling visual narratives and big ideas that resonate with target audiences.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to define creative strategy, establish visual guidelines, and ensure consistency across all brand touchpoints.
- Act as a key creative voice in client presentations and internal stakeholder reviews, persuasively articulating creative rationale and incorporating feedback effectively.
Art Direction & Visual Execution Excellence:
- Provide clear, inspiring art direction and oversee the entire visual design process, ensuring the highest standards of craft, aesthetic quality, and brand consistency across all deliverables.
- Maintain meticulous attention to detail in typography, color theory, layout, imagery selection, and overall visual composition.
- Ensure all visual assets align with established brand guidelines, technical specifications.
- Be capable of hands-on design and art production when necessary, leading by example in execution.
Team Management & Knowledge Sharing:
- Act as a mentor and guide for junior and mid-level designers, fostering their growth, skill development, and creative problem-solving abilities aligned with Gutenberg’s business goals and individual aspirations.
- Identify and support learning and development requirements and ensure relevant training opportunities are planned to stay updated on technologies.
- Lead daily workflow and project assignments for the design team, ensuring efficient resource allocation and adherence to timelines and budgets.
- Cultivate a collaborative, positive, and high-performing creative environment.
Industry Expertise & Innovation:
- Stay at the forefront of global and local design trends, visual technologies, industry best practices, and competitor creative strategies.
- Proactively identify and champion new tools, techniques, and innovative visual approaches to enhance our creative output.
- Contribute to the continuous improvement of creative processes and workflows.
Additional responsibilities:
- Exhibit strong organizational skills, the ability to meet tight deadlines without compromising quality while juggling multiple channels of activity and a demonstrated ability to work independently, managing own time, and prioritizing effectively.
- Other responsibilities that may be assigned from time to time as required.
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities
- Bachelor's degree in Graphic Design, Fine Arts, Visual Communication, Advertising, or a related field. A Master's degree is highly preferred.
- 10+ years of progressive experience in a creative role.
- At least 5+ years specifically in a senior Art Director or Associate Creative Director capacity, with a strong focus on visual leadership, preferably within a reputable advertising agency, design studio, or a fast-paced in-house creative department.
- A highly distinguished, diverse online portfolio is essential, showcasing exceptional visual design skills, sophisticated conceptual thinking, and a proven track record of successful, impactful campaigns and projects across various media.
- Expert-level proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite (Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign, After Effects, Premiere Pro).
- Experience with motion graphics and video direction/editing.
- Understanding of UX/UI principles and design systems.
- Experience working with international brands or in a global creative environment
- Advanced proficiency with prototyping and wire-framing tools (e.g., Figma, Sketch, Adobe XD) is crucial.
- Deep understanding of print production processes, digital asset management systems, and modern web/mobile design principles and limitations.
