As an Electrical Engineer at Northern Tool, you will be responsible for performing electrical engineering activities as per the provided scope of work. You will be tasked with owning and maintaining the design, components, and assemblies with Design for Manufacturing and Assembly (DFMA) techniques to minimize product cost through design and process improvements. This includes creating specifications, conducting preliminary design reviews, and facilitating critical design reviews. Your role will also involve creating electrical system test requirements, determining the ideal component and wire harness design to ensure overall design, performance, and cost conformance. Additionally, you will lead and participate in design reviews on projects to ensure adequate input and involvement from all interested groups. You will evaluate designs using engineering calculations, principles of material behavior, and design analysis tools for DTC and DFM, while also applying design for manufacture principles when designing parts and assemblies.,
