Apps Development Group Manager - C14 - CHENNAI

The Applications Development Group Manager role at Citigroup involves leading a team to establish and implement new or revised application systems and programs in coordination with the Technology Team. Your main responsibility will be to drive applications systems analysis and programming activities. As the Applications Development Group Manager, you will manage multiple teams to achieve established goals and handle personnel duties such as performance evaluations, hiring, and disciplinary actions. You will provide strategic influence over resources, budget management, and planning while ensuring that essential procedures are followed and standards are defined. Your role will require integrating in-depth knowledge of applications development with the overall technology function to meet goals effectively. To excel in this role, you should have over 15 years of relevant experience in applications development and management, including managing global technology teams. Proficiency in industry practices and standards, along with clear written and verbal communication skills, is essential. Additionally, you should possess knowledge of Capital Markets/Trading, Investment banking, Trade Life cycle, operations within Front office, Middle office, and Back office, as well as systems and processes in the banking domain. In terms of tools and skillset, you should be proficient in SQL for data analysis, competent with MS Excel, and have experience with data modeling, data mapping, and data mining. Knowledge of ETL, data visualization, BI tools like Tableau, Agile, SDLC Methodology, and JIRA is also crucial for this role. Ideal candidates for this position hold a Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience, with a preference for a Master's degree.
