We are seeking a detail-oriented and reliable Accountant to join our academic institution. The ideal candidate will be responsible for managing day-to-day financial operations, including fee collection, purchasing, compliance, and timely reporting. This role requires strong organizational skills, financial accuracy, and a proactive attitude.
Key Responsibilities
1. Maintain accurate and up-to-date financial records, including accounts payable, accounts receivable, and general ledger.
2. Prepare and manage client invoices, ensuring timely payment and minimizing delays.
3. Maintain accurate and up-to-date student payment records
4. Oversee the procurement of office supplies and academic materials
5. Handle vendor coordination and maintain purchase documentation
6. Maintain systematic filing of vouchers, bills, and expense records
7. Ensure compliance with basic accounting standards and institutional policies
8. Work closely with project managers, estimators, and other stakeholders to ensure financial accuracy and alignment.
Requirements
1. Bachelor’s degree in Commerce, Finance, or related field
2. Proficiency in MS Excel; knowledge of Tally or accounting software is an advantage
3. Strong attention to detail, time management, and accuracy
4. Excellent communication and documentation skills
5. Prior experience in an academic or service-based environment is a plus
