Roles and Responsibilities: Design, develop or modify software by using Progress 4GL and other programming languages Modify existing software to fix errors, improve the overall quality and functionality, or update integrations with other software. Analyse user needs to determine how software should be built or if existing software should be modified. Develop and/or perform software automated testing procedures, solutions and frameworks to ensure software functions as needed. Translate business requirements and specifications into usable and scalable software. Interface with customers and other vendors, arrive at the best design and build solutions Process and understand the capabilities and limitations of data outputs from the software. Participate in design and code reviews. Assist with delivery estimates. Determine and execute the software deployment process.

Primary Responsibilities: Technical Leadership & Architecture Lead technical design and architectural decisions for new features and system enhancements across Informix 4GL-based platforms. Operate confidently in AIX or UNIX environments for application deployment, system troubleshooting, and performance tuning. Define and promote coding standards, design patterns, and best practices across the engineering team. Collaborate with engineering managers and architects to shape modernization roadmaps for legacy applications. Application Development & Support Develop, test, deploy, and maintain enhancements and features in Informix 4GL. Perform complex troubleshooting, debugging, and root cause analysis for production systems. Support end-to-end software delivery, ensuring accuracy, performance, and reliability.
