Founding Software Developer (Full-Stack, Web) Role summary Build v1 products end-to-end and own the web stack across multiple brands. First tech hire. You will ship fast, set standards, and prepare for a small engineering team. Key outcomes (first 6–12 months) Launch v1 of core web app(s) with secure auth, payments, and admin. Cut lead-time from idea → production to <2 weeks. 99.9% uptime for customer-facing sites; P95 API latency <300 ms. Deployment frequency ≥ weekly; defect escape rate <2% of tickets. Create baseline engineering playbook: repo structure, CI/CD, code style, observability. What you’ll do Own full product cycle: scope → design → build → test → deploy → measure. Build responsive web frontends (React/Next.js) and backend APIs (Node/Nest or Express). Design schemas and queries in PostgreSQL; integrate Redis where needed. Integrate third-party services: payments, auth, file storage, email/WhatsApp, analytics. Set up CI/CD, IaC, and cloud infra (AWS preferred) with basic security hardening. Create internal tools and dashboards for operations and compliance workflows. Write tests (unit/integration), instrument logs/metrics/traces, and handle on-call. Collaborate with founder/ops to convert SOPs into product features. Minimum requirements 3–7 years building production web apps with JavaScript/TypeScript. Strong with React/Next.js and Node.js; solid HTML/CSS. RDBMS design (PostgreSQL/MySQL), query optimization, transactions. REST/JSON APIs; bonus for GraphQL. CI/CD with GitHub Actions/GitLab; Docker basics. Cloud exposure (AWS/GCP/Azure) and Linux fundamentals. Testing mindset and practical security awareness (OWASP Top 10). Clear written communication; comfort with rapid iteration. Nice to have NestJS, Prisma/TypeORM, Redis/Queues, Webhooks, WebSockets. AWS: ECS/Fargate or Lambda, RDS, S3, CloudFront, IAM. Infra as Code (Terraform) and monitoring (OpenTelemetry/Grafana). Experience with fintech/compliance, PDFs/OCR, or India-stack integrations. Tooling you’ll likely use Frontend: Next.js, React, Tailwind. Backend: Node.js, NestJS/Express, Prisma. Data: PostgreSQL, Redis. Infra: AWS, Docker, GitHub Actions, Terraform. Quality: Jest/Vitest, Playwright, ESLint/Prettier, Sentry. KPIs Lead time to production, deployment frequency, change failure rate, MTTR. Uptime and latency SLOs, test coverage on critical paths, user activation funnel. Cycle time per ticket and on-time delivery vs. sprint plan.
