The Courseware Technologist role focuses on developing learning activities such as courses, assessments, and games, which are integral to the KnowBe4 customer experience. While familiarity with reasonable software security practices is beneficial, a background in information security is not mandatory. The primary requirements include the ability to create online content for eLearning, introduce innovative ideas, and contribute to the expanding library of content resources. This position involves collaborating with eLearning developers, QA, and engineers in a dynamic environment using product/project management tools and establishing standards for partners. Responsibilities: - Developing high-quality courseware utilizing predetermined files and assets to create SCORM packages. - Understanding various learning management systems. - Keeping abreast of the latest eLearning courseware technology tools and best practices to implement them in KnowBe4 courseware and share them with our partners. - Ensuring compliance with Web Accessibility requirements to guarantee accessibility of learning activities for all users. - Actively participating in creating and supporting inclusive content as per the KnowBe4 DEI statement. - Ensuring content complies with Web Content Accessible Guidelines (WCAG 2.1) to make it accessible to all users. Requirements: - A.S. or A.A. in Computer Science or Digital Design (or equivalent work experience) is required. - Minimum 3 years of relevant experience in eLearning courseware development. - Strong expertise in HTML/CSS frontend development. - Proficiency in utilizing a proprietary e-Learning authoring tool for producing e-learning content. - Proficiency in integrating graphics, text, and voice-over into courses. - Additional programming language skills are advantageous. - Experience with video and audio editing software. - Familiarity with G Suite products, MS Office, and web browsers. - A strong enthusiasm for learning and adapting to new technologies. - Experience in collaborating with peers to define software standards and explore new technologies. - Experience in providing customer support and solutions.
