Job Description

You are a skilled and proactive Technical Support Engineer / Service Desk Analyst with a fair understanding of the ITIL framework and experience in providing end-to-end IT infrastructure support. Your responsibilities will include providing Level 1/Level 2 technical support for end-users, managing desktop/laptop configuration, software installation, and troubleshooting, monitoring and maintaining IT systems, handling incident tickets, assisting in network troubleshooting, supporting infrastructure monitoring and event management, contributing to IT security operations, participating in storage and backup operations, performing basic server administration tasks, supporting database-related activities, and providing end-user computing support. You should have a basic understanding of IP addressing and network concepts, familiarity with routers and switches, hands-on experience with troubleshooting tools like ping, tracert, netstat, exposure to network monitoring tools such as Nagios, Cacti, SolarWinds, understanding of cyber security incident response, exposure to SIEM tools like QRadar, LogRhythm, Splunk, awareness of threat intelligence and OSINT tools, knowledge of backup and restore operations, familiarity with RAID, SAN, and storage monitoring tools, understanding of backup appliances and tape libraries, basics of SQL and relational databases, familiarity with database tools like MySQL, Postgres, MS Access, understanding of normalization, indexing, triggers, hands-on experience with endpoint support and remote tools, proficiency in MS Office and browsers, and basic troubleshooting for desktop environments. Ideally, you should have a fair understanding of the ITIL framework, strong communication and customer service skills, ability to work independently and prioritize tasks, and relevant certifications (CompTIA, ITIL, CCNA, etc.) would be a plus.
