Position Overview: As a Systems Verification Engineer for Connected Health Projects, you will work independently or as part of a team, responsible for analyzing system and cloud platform requirements, developing system integration and verification tests for mobile applications and platforms, and supporting system specifications/use cases development and traceability. This role entails collaborating with cross-functional teams on connected health projects. Duties and Responsibilities: Analyze system requirements to determine testability, completeness, and consistency. Design and implement system verification test strategies/plans and test objectives, including test procedures to evaluate the behavior of the system compared to specified requirements. Develop automated/semi-automated end-to-end verification tests for connected medical products/systems, including mobile devices (Android or iOS), cloud platforms, and implantable medical devices. Support characterization testing of iOS and Android medical applications with BLE-enabled stimulators/medical devices. Develop new capabilities/tools and libraries to support test automation. Design and execute system integration testing scenarios based on system architecture/designs. Drive innovation in mobile app test development and collaborate closely with engineering teams to identify and capitalize on opportunities for automation and test tools. Perform peer reviews of verification test assets, test objectives, and automated test scripts. Produce requirement-test traceability matrices to ensure adequate requirement coverage. Provide solutions to a variety of technical problems of moderate scope and complexity. Collaborate effectively within a team environment. Maintain high standards of quality, even under pressure. Support regulatory submissions of specifications, test plans, and reports. Basic Qualifications and Experience: BS/MS in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, or related field (or equivalent experience). 4+ years of experience in Systems Engineering and/or Software development & verification. 2+ years of experience programming in Scripting Languages (such as PHP, Python). Knowledge of Object-Oriented Programming (OOP) concepts. Familiarity with Appium, Selenium, Git, Jira, Overflow, Figma, and Jenkins. Familiarity with requirements analysis, system/software integration, and verification. Experience with tools to evaluate application performance and memory utilization. Knowledge of Low Energy Bluetooth Stack. Experience using lab equipment: Oscilloscopes, DVM, BLE Sniffer. Experience with client-side mobile applications with shipped products on either Android or iOS platforms. Knowledge of Cloud Technologies, specifically AWS Platform technologies. Verification and Validation Group is composed by 16 engineers with the responsibility to secure the quality of our Global Diagnostic Service Platform. The platform delivers several different solutions which are used worldwide by the technicians at the workshops when servicing a vehicle, our work makes a huge impact for the aftermarket and Volvo Group. We secure quality by testing new features, regression testing, automation and a strong release process. We are responsible for the final statement whether a new version of our solution should go to production or not. And, of course, all work required to make sure we have the right judgement. Your focus will be to: Work close to the development teams to secure quality is taken care from the moment we conceptualize a solution. Work according to our Test Strategy ensuring development teams work according to it. Execute User Acceptance Test by testing new features or running regression tests, preferably automatically for repetitive scenarios and manually to explore the solution like real end user. Secure documentation is in place and updated regularly, e.g., test cases, test results, backlog items, etc. Relevant knowledge/experience A Master- or Bachelor's degree in engineering (preferably Electrical Engineering, Physics Engineering or Mechatronics/Automation Engineering or Computer Science). You have previous experience as System Verification Engineer or similar position where your primary responsibility was to secure quality by testing. You should have more than 5 years experience within the area. Good knowledge in the following programming languages C#, .NET and Python. Advanced knowledge in Test Automation, Playwright and/or Robot Framework is a plus. Intermediate knowledge of the equipment for electronics system testing (CANoe, CANalyzer, etc.) Intermediate knowledge about electronics/embedded SW development Experience with agile software development way of working such as DevOps, continuous integration, delivery, and deployment. Experience in the automotive industry. Fluent English. Experience of work in a multi-cultural environment are also considered to be a merit.

The Product V&V (Verification and Validation) will be a part of the Engineering group that is responsible for implementing technical strategies, evaluate and develop products, and provide a superior level of technical support that benefits the organization. The Systems Engineer will lead the V&V effort / with a Product V&V focus collaborates closely with Engineers, Architects, and Test in the Ventilation business to develop and commercialize Class 2 medical devices. Responsibilities: Works together to support product verification and validation planning, resolution of technical integration issues, safety agency interface, system testing and coordination and interfaces with Philips design center. Provides engineering expertise in software and system verification and establishes system V&V plans, assists in developments of protocols and reviews reports. Implements design for testability by collaborating with R&D (Research and Development) teams to evaluate requirements for testability. Collaborates with external agencies for compliance and safety certification Incorporates essential operating mechanisms of systems engineering of medical device design and engineering principles and adheres to medical device regulations. Defines system requirements, architecture, and interfaces to meet product requirements, risk analysis and industry standards; conducts system design analysis to select key components and defines control methods; and coordinates build and design integration. Conducts design reviews as part of the product development process to ensure customer requirements are met and the designs are manufacture-able, serviceable, and reliable. In addition, it does the same for subsystem requirements and product integration. Verification and Validation (V&V) is about providing objective evidence that the system/product, when in use, fulfills the requirements in the intended operating environment. Algorithms are cross-functional in nature, and the verification of these solutions is as critical as their design. This role requires excellent system understanding, system verification thinking, and close teamwork with hardware and software design, algorithm design, systems application, system architecture, and quality teams. Responsibilities: Drive the verification and validation effort of our key programs. Work with algorithm engineers and Embedded SW to understand requirements, specifications, and implementations to prepare and execute suitable verification and validation plans. Define a long-term verification and validation roadmap of capabilities, flows, and methodologies to continuously improve productivity. Creatively plan to test devices in corner cases where potential marginalities and issues could arise beyond the given specifications.
